At 15, what was previously occasional weed use became a daily habit. I got into the wrong crowd, and by 16 I was living a very high-risk lifestyle. I was transported to a wilderness therapy program. After that, I went to a residential treatment center. On a home-visit I ran, and got straight back into drugs. After a handful more times in different treatment centers over the next few years, I eventually overdosed on fentanyl in 2017. After three days of a medically induced coma, and a month of physical rehabilitation including learning to walk again, I decided to pursue a healthy lifestyle. After doing my best to ignore all the concepts in therapy and treatment as a kid, I began utilizing them as an adult. I began college, and eventually got a job at the very boarding school that I ran from in my teenage years. Today, I share my story and the things that helped me along the way to a healthy lifestyle with the next generation to bring more light to their lives.
